Matte Gold LED Waterfall Bathroom Sink Faucet - Single Hole for Lavatory & Commercial Use

I would have given this faucet 5 stars except the neck and spout were assembled slightly out of alignment, not once, but twice. Looking at it out of the box it appeared the two pieces were not quite square. I inverted the faucet and placed a straight edge against both the front and back sides of the neck. It should have run parallel to the edges of the spout beneath it in each case. As seen in the pictures, it is clearly out of alignment. To their credit, the company shipped me a replacement even before receiving the return. Due to ice and snow covering the steep, unpaved mountain road I live on, I was unable get out to return the first one before receiving the second, so I was able to compare them. I also know, therefore, I was not simply sent the same unit. A comparison showed nearly the same degree of misalignment. After measuring them both, we actually kept the first one and returned the second. My wife and I figured there was probably an entire lot made the same way and we were tired of our vanity being out of service and in disarray for two weeks, so after some experimentation, decided if the faucet was installed with the spout square with the sink, the out-of-square neck should go unnoticed unless you knew to look for it. There were no problems with the installation (took about 20 minutes) and there were no leaks when the water was restored. Tip: There is a thin rubber 'O' ring that mounts on the bottom of the neck and provides a seal between the neck and counter. This 'O' ring was slightly too large to stay in the track made for it, a problem I have encountered before with other faucets. This would have not allowed the ring to seat properly so I snipped out a tiny piece of it and got a perfect fit. Also, I applied a thin amount of Vaseline to the track with a Q-tip, then applied the 'O' ring, just before mounting the faucet. That kept the ring in place during installation. This is our second faucet that uses different light colors to indicate water temperature. The colors are far more vivid on this one. Also, the forward pitch design results in the water hitting the sink in the center, eliminating splashing. Our first such faucet, a taller, vertical neck design, sent the water behind the drain toward the rear of the sink, splashing water out of the sink and onto the counter every time. The handle operation is quite smooth and the faucet itself is nicely designed and stylish. We really like it, but would like it even more if it had been assembled properly. The problem we had with misalignment will probably soon be corrected, and since you CAN send it back, I would still recommend this faucet.We bought this faucet July 2018. We didn't install it until late September 2018. We LOVED it. It was a tiny bit loud but nothing like what the prior reviews indicated. It looks nice and is really sleek. My cats love to drink from the flat area when the water is on just a bit. In fact they have become a bit of "water snobs" because of this faucet.It is with great regret that I cannot give this a 5 star review and I have to replace this faucet now.A few months ago we noticed a high pitch whine when using the water. Almost like something was constricting the flow - but plenty of water was able to come out of the faucet just like before. We checked everything about the faucet and it appeared the whine/screatch was a result of the water flow through the faucet.The whine is still present but not as absurd as it use to be (it was actually a bit embarassing for guests to use our powder room faucet because it was that annoying).We put up with it because he loved the LED's and how the water flowed out "flat".A couple weeks ago my husband said that he noticed the LED's were failing in the faucet because they just blink instead of staying steady. I advised him the red has always blinked when the water became REALLY hot. He said it blinks on all the colors now. Sure enough after a week of using this sink - he is right. This faucet isn't even a year old by use and it is failing. It is still louder than a sink faucet should be and now with the LED's failing - we have no choice but to look for something else. The entire bathroom needed to be remodeled. We both wanted something new and exciting and found this faucet for our ideal vessel sink. At the end of the remodel the contractor installed the faucet and everything looked great. No batteries needed. The contractor left and we used it the following day.The LED's work as follows:1) Cold water: Blue2) Warm water: Green3) HOT water: RedWe found a few negatives. When the water begins to flow it is loud as other reviews stated. The cold water began to flow and the blue LED turned on. I tried to use warm and hot water and noticed it was a poor water flow. The green and red LED’s would barely turn on. I checked under the cabinet the stainless steel braided water lines and found no kinks or bends (pictures attached).I called the contractor who came back (not free) and checked the lines. The contractor showed me the water flow out of the water lines were perfectly fine. The contractor deemed it was something in the inside of the faucet that was faulty. Looks great but not happy with the outcome.UPDATE: Seller reached out to me and offered to send a replacement due to the issues stated above. I received the new one and installed it myself. After install I tested it and it works great. No leaks and the water flow is consistent with hot and cold. LED's work as promised. When turning on the faucet it sounds slightly quieter than the faulty one I uninstalled. I updated the review from a 1 star to a 4 star.
